Spirulina
Spirulina
Spirulina platensis is the descendant of those cyanobacteria which enabled, eons ago, the existence of the first photosynthetic life form. The blue-green spiral-shaped micro-alga exclusively grows in very alkaline waters and uses sunlight to split water molecules, manufacturing food energy out of surrounding gases and minerals, for itself and for other living beings. Each alga is a perfect life unit; each cell functions like a power plant - a superb light-bearer, absorbing sunlight in order to transmit solar energy to us.
Forays into our civilization's history show that Spirulina was already being cultivated in ancient Middle America, by Mayans and Aztecs, and used as a valuable part of their daily food supply. Providing a protein and vital substance supply, it was used to prepare soups, sauces, and bread spreads. Whether known as "Tecuilate" in Mexico, "Dihe" cake as favourite dish in Central Africa, "Mana" as bread in the desert - historical documentation shows that traditional people have always used the "green gold" for food in various dishes. As the highly developed Aztec empire was conquered by the Spanish led by Cortez, this slightly salty-tasting food vanished along with a whole civilization.
In 1948, the remnants of Aztec Spirulina cultures were discovered in Lake Texcoco and Lake Totalcingo (Mexico). It took some time before Spirulina could be cultivated again because these micro-algae have high demands on water quality, which only few locations on earth can provide. The "biological power plant" was declared, at the World Food Conference of the United Nations, as "best food of the future", as no other plant has an equally high nutritional value in such a well-balanced composition.
Usage
Usage
Use: Best taken in the mornings or before noon before the intake of solid food. As Spirulina has a strongly vitalizing effect, it is a wonderful source before or after physical or mental exertions to boost and to regain your vigour and vitality. By sucking the tabs, your saliva can begin predigesting and breaking up the carbohydrates as best as possible. As Spirulina is pure food, there are no prescriptions as to quantity taken. We recommend to take 6 - 25 tablets or 3 - 10gm of powder (approx. 1 - 3 tablespoons) a day. The quantity depends on whether you just want to add to your food or to substitute a whole meal. The powder can be mixed into fruit juices or sprinkled over your salad.
An overdose is fairly impossible as Spirulina is not a drug but a nutrient-rich food, from which our body takes what it needs.
Spirulina powder is available in high-quality violet photo protection and energy protection glasses at 200 g and in supply package at 1000 g in air-tight violet photo protection and energy protection glass foils. Spirulina tablets at 400 mg are available in high-quality violet photo protection and energy protection glasses at 500 pieces and as store package at 2500 pieces in air-tight violet photo protection and energy protection glass foils. über den Salat streuen.

Interesting facts
The tiny protein plant Spirulina represents, with its bounty of bioactive and vital substances, a food of the highest quality. This protein-rich alga food right out of Nature's pharmacy contains all nutrients, which we need for life, and has a beneficial influence on all metabolic processes.
A share of more than 60% of easy-to-digest protein provides the protein building blocks necessary for the compilation of healthy cells. More than 2000 enzymes take part in all the biochemical and metabolic processes in our body. They control our immune system and the fluidity of our blood and are therefore an enormous source of energy supply.
The great variety of vitamins (provitamin A, vitamin E, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, folate, biotin, inositol) work as coenzymes and get effective only with the help of minerals and trace elements. There are 18 minerals known in science which are important for our body and its functions. The wide array of minerals and trace elements represents a unique range of effective vital substances: calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, phosphorus, sodium, zinc, copper, manganese, chromium, selenium, germanium, lithium.
Amino acids form the chemical building blocks of our body structure's framework. Spirulina contains 18 of the 23 amino acids, among them all 8 essential ones (isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan, and valine), which cannot be produced by the human body. For the body to synthesize and assimilate protein, all essential amino acids have to be present in the proper relation. Even if one single amino acid is missing only temporarily, protein synthesis can be diminished.
Besides amino acids, Spirulina contains gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), a polyunsaturated fatty acid which is also contained in mother's milk. This vital essential fatty acid cannot be synthesized by the human body and has to be obtained from our food.
The treasury of the blue-green light bearer is completed by more substances such as phycocyanin, chlorophyll-superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione-peroxidase, ribonuclein acid, desoxiribonuclein acid, polysaccharide (especially rhamnosis and glycogen), lipids (neutral lipids, glycolipids, sulfolipids).
Cultivation
Cultivation
Cultivation and processing: Our Spirulina algae grow at the Cona Coast of Big Island, the largest of the Hawaiian Islands. Nourished by hot sun, by mineral-containing sea water as well as by mineral-rich volcanic fresh water, the algae at this place develop an especially rich, substantial species. After a growth period of approx. 7 days, the algae are harvested in a special sieving process, are rinsed with spring water several times, and spray dried. Part of them is pressed into tabs and packed immediately into air-tight and photoprotected packages without the addition of any artificial coloring or preservatives. This procedure in itself is very short - drying is completed within 5 seconds at a maximum temperature of 38 degrees Celsius, without oxygen to preserve all vital substances and to prevent the valuable betacarotene from oxidating.
The method of Kirlian Photography has succeeded in showing the light aura of algae powder in tablet form, meaning that our dried Spirulina platensis still possess a powerful vital energy. Each micro-cell is still alive and loaded with power. To protect this life energy, we use violet photo protection and energy protection glasses as well as photo protection and energy protection glass foils. ten und zu verhindern, dass das wertvolle Betakarotin oxidiert.
